The short version
- Readsgreat researches, writes, fact-checks and posts articles to your website, and keeps them up to date.
- The articles are yours. You own them, and they stay on your site if you leave.
- We check every fact against a real source, but AI can still get things wrong. Read what we write before you rely on it, especially for health, legal or money topics.
- We connect to your blog only to post and update articles, and to Google Search Console only to read your search data.
- We can't promise rankings or traffic. Nobody honestly can.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel in the app at any time. If you're not happy, you get your first payment back in full within 14 days.
This summary helps you find your way around. The full terms below are what count.
1. Who we are and who can use Readsgreat
These terms are an agreement between you and Hypercowboy LLC, doing business as Readsgreat ("Readsgreat", "we", "us"), an Indiana limited liability company. They cover readsgreat.com, app.readsgreat.com, our emails, and any other service that links to them (together, "the service").
Readsgreat is for businesses, and we currently offer it in the United States. To use it, you must be at least 18 and able to make a binding contract. If you sign up for a company or a client, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for them, and "you" means that company too.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. It's part of these terms.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including anything done by people you invite.
- Tell us right away at hello@readsgreat.com if you think someone got into your account without permission.
3. What Readsgreat does
Depending on your plan and settings, Readsgreat:
- reads your website to learn what you sell and who your customers are;
- researches topics, search results and sources, and builds a content plan (your Strategy);
- writes articles, checks their facts against quoted sources, and adds header images, titles and descriptions;
- posts new articles to your website and updates older ones;
- emails questions to your chosen expert and uses their answers as they allow;
- reports how your articles do in Google and in AI search tools.
We keep improving the service. We may change, add or remove features, and switch the AI models we use when better ones come along. If we remove something important you pay for, we'll tell you first.
4. AI-written content
You own what we write for you. As between you and us, the articles, images, titles and other content we make for your site ("your content") belong to you once they're made. You can use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially. You give us permission to store, process and post your content only as needed to run the service for you.
What our fact-checking does, and doesn't do. Every factual claim in an article is traced to a source we fetched and quoted, and our checks look for claims that aren't supported. That lowers the risk of errors a lot, but it doesn't remove it. AI can misread a source, a source can be wrong or out of date, and rules and prices change. So:
- Review articles before you rely on them, or choose to approve each one before it posts. You're responsible for what's published on your site.
- For health, legal, financial and other high-stakes topics, a qualified person on your side should check the content. Our articles are general information, not professional advice to your readers.
- AI output may look like other content on the web. We don't promise that an article is unique or free of third-party rights, though we write from our own research and never copy pages.
- Header images are made by AI and may be labelled as AI-made where the law or a platform requires it.
- The same request can give different results each time.
Things you tell us about your business (your prices, services, licences, hours, results) are your statements. We use them as you give them, and you're responsible for keeping them true.
Expert quotes and "Reviewed by." If you add an expert, you confirm that they agreed to receive our emails. Each expert chooses whether they can be quoted by name. If you turn on "Reviewed by", you confirm that the people or team you name really review your published content. That is your claim, not ours.
5. Connecting your website and Google
To post articles and see how they perform, you can connect your website's publishing system (such as WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Wix, Framer or Sanity) and your Google Search Console account.
- You must own or manage what you connect, and have the right to let us use it.
- What we do with your website connection: we read your existing posts, categories and links, so we can plan, link and update well. We create, update and (when you ask) unpublish articles. In Approve each one mode we post only what you approve. In Autopilot mode, you authorize us to post and update articles without asking each time. Every change is logged, and you can undo it.
- Google Search Console is read-only. We read clicks, impressions, positions and search queries for your site. We never change anything in your Google account.
- Keep the passwords, keys or tokens you give us current. You can disconnect at any time in the app or in the other service. When you disconnect, we stop posting and delete the stored access.
- Those platforms have their own terms, and they may change or break their connections. We'll fix what we can, but we're not responsible for another company's service.
6. No guarantee of rankings or traffic
Search engines and AI tools decide what they show, and their rules change often. We don't promise any ranking, traffic, AI mentions, leads or sales, or that a search engine will index a page. The rankings, AI search visibility and other numbers in our reports come from third-party tools and are estimates.
7. Plans and payment
Offers. From time to time we may offer a free article or another trial. If we do, its conditions are shown when you sign up, and they apply alongside these terms.
Plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices and what each plan includes are on our pricing page. Prices don't include taxes, which we add where the law requires.
Renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. For yearly plans, we email you a reminder 30 days before each renewal. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase, and it applies only from your next renewal.
Monthly article limits. Each plan includes a number of new articles and updates per month. Unused articles don't carry over to the next month, but unused new-article slots can be used as extra updates within the same month. Extra article packs, when offered, are paid in advance and expire 90 days after purchase.
Upgrades and downgrades. Upgrades apply straight away, and we charge the difference for the rest of your billing period. Downgrades and switches from yearly to monthly start at your next renewal.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we'll let you know and try again. If it still isn't paid after 14 days, we may pause new work until it is.
8. Refunds and cancelling
14-day money-back. If you're not happy, ask within 14 days of your first payment (monthly or yearly) and we'll refund it in full. No reason needed. This applies once per business, so a business can't sign up again to get another refund.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the app, under Settings → Billing, or by emailing hello@readsgreat.com. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and then stops renewing. Apart from the 14-day money-back and anything the law requires, payments aren't refunded, including for part of a month or year. That means a cancelled yearly plan runs to the end of the paid year.
What happens after you cancel:
- Articles already on your website stay there and stay yours. We don't remove them.
- We stop writing, posting and updating, and we stop reading your Search Console data.
- You can download your articles and data for 30 days. After that we delete your account data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use Readsgreat to:
- publish anything illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, or that exploits children;
- deceive people. That includes fake reviews or testimonials, made-up experts or credentials, pretending to be someone else, and false claims about health, legal, financial or safety matters;
- create spam, including mass low-quality pages or content meant to trick search engines;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- write about sites or businesses you don't own or manage, or connect accounts you're not allowed to use;
- break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, get around its limits, or resell it without our written agreement;
- get more than one money-back refund, or more than one of any free offer, by using several accounts, cards or emails.
We may refuse to write a topic that breaks these rules.
10. Our rights and yours
The Readsgreat software, design, brand, templates and our own research methods belong to us. These terms give you the right to use the service while you have an account. They don't transfer ownership of it.
You keep all rights to your content and to what you give us, such as your business details, expert answers and site data. We use it only to run and support the service for you, as our Privacy Policy explains.
We may learn from how the service performs across all customers, for example which public sources are reliable or which kinds of articles do well. We only use that learning in forms that don't identify you or reveal your private data.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
11. Suspension and ending the agreement
We may pause or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don't pay, put the service or other customers at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close your account without a good reason under these terms, we'll refund any prepaid fees for the unused time.
12. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Readsgreat accurate, safe and available. Still, apart from what these terms promise, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- neither of us is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, rankings or data;
- each side's total liability for all claims under these terms is limited to US$100.
This cap doesn't reduce a refund you're owed under section 8. These limits don't apply to your payment obligations, to either side's fraud or wilful misconduct, or to anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
14. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you asked us to publish, business facts you gave us, sites or accounts you connected without permission, or your breaking section 9, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim. We'll tell you about the claim promptly and let you help handle it.
15. Governing law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please email hello@readsgreat.com first. Most problems can be solved quickly that way. We'll both try in good faith to settle a dispute for 30 days before starting any formal action.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, and both of us agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may still bring a claim in small-claims court.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. For important changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect, and post the new version here with a new date. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Changes required by law, or made for security, may apply sooner. Small edits, such as typo fixes and clearer wording, apply when posted.
Change log
- September 28, 2026: First version.
17. Everything else
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service, unless we sign something separate, such as a Custom plan agreement, which then takes priority.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
- You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them if our business is sold or reorganised, and we'll tell you if that happens.
- Neither side is responsible for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
